Chewie: The Hairy Philodendron
Height: 60cm
Pot diameter: 17cm
Grown onto a small wooden support frame.
Chewie is listed on Plants in Need as, although he is happily growing, he has picked up marks and small tears across a number of his leaves. He is still a beautiful specimen but his imperfections mean he can't be sold at full price.
This rarely seen species of Philodendron is absolutely bonkers. There: I said it! It has bright red stems covered in 'hairs' and has therefore been dubbed 'The Hairy Philodendron'. On top of this it has large, oak-shaped leaves. Definitely a talking point when people visit!
💧 Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. In winter water when the soil is completely dry; in summer when it is dry at least half way down.
🌞 They thrive in bright, indirect light, but can handle lower light too if necessary.
🐶🐱 Toxic to people and pets if consumed.
Extra humidity will also be appreciated by this guy!
