A fascinating cactus with a cartoon-like appearance, the Opuntia consolea is ideal for a sunny windowsill. The most interesting aspect of this plant is the fact it's so flat! Hence its common name, 'road-kill cactus'.
Care:
๐ง Water once the soil is completely dry. In autumn/winter, cut this back to once a month.
๐ Full sun
๐ถ๐ฑ Non-toxic, but it does have short spines (though they are few)
