Umbrella Tree on Lava Rock
Height: 40cm
Pot width: 25cm
Comes in a tray; no need for a pot.
Umbrella plants (Schefflera) are a firm favourite of mine; asking very little but giving a lot. Adorable growth (new leaves look like umbrellas) and an easygoing attitude makes them a staple in the houseplant world - but this guy is different from the rest.
Grown onto porous lava rock, the roots of the Schefflera cover the rock and absorb water from the tray below - how cool is that!
💧 Fill the tray halfway up with tepid water and then fill it back up as needed! If possible, use filtered or distilled water to prevent mineral build-up on the rock. Trim any roots that touch the water's surface.
🌞 Bright light is best for Schefflera
🌱 As it won't have access to nutrients in soil, it will need to be given a heavily diluted fertiliser. Fertilise every other watering in summer and spring, and once a month over winter and autumn.
🐶🐱 Toxic to people and pets when consumed.
Your plant
I try my best to make sure my photos reflect what you will receive, however every plant is unique and so there will be some differences. Plants, like people, are all different, and that’s what makes them beautiful 🥰
